Mingxi obtained his Ph.D. from University of Florida, specializing in both database and data mining. In the past 15 years, he has focused on database research and data management software building. He has worked at both Microsoft SQL server group and Oracle relational database optimizer group. He has won research awards in the most prestigious publication venues in database and data mining (SIGMOD, KDD and VLDB).
