Cliff is also a member of Comic Relief’s UK Grants Committee, the Clore Social Leadership Group, the FYSE young social entrepreneur scheme in Asia, and the Dept of Health Social Enterprise & Third Sector Taskforce. Cliff has set up several organisations over the years such as Strutton Housing for people living with HIV in the 1980s through to more current work on the Big Local Trust. Cliff joined UnLtd from mental health charity Rethink, where he was Chief Executive for over 8 years. Under his leadership, Rethink grew to become the UK’s largest and most influential charity in mental health. Rethink is both a membership based advocacy organisation and a social enterprise delivering over £40m pa in health and social care services under contract. Cliff previously worked in social housing, community care, criminal justice, and health policy and research fields.
