力学家，主要研究领域为板壳非线性力学、电磁固体力学、风沙环境力学。1958年5月生于湖北省武汉。1982年在华中科技大学获工学学士学位，1987年在兰州大学获理学博士学位，2009年当选中国科学院院士。
