高分子化学家，长期从事光电功能高分子领域的研究工作。1948年8月10日出生于重庆市。1982年在华东理工大学（原华东化工学院）化工系获硕士学位，1986年在复旦大学化学系获博士学位。2013年当选为中国科学院院士。
